It’s time to look as good as you say you are

You can’t love your brand if you don’t love your photos.
You’ve got the product. You’ve got the packaging. You’ve got the passion. You couldn’t be prouder of the brand you’ve built and you’re so excited to share it with the world.
But your photos are letting you down.
They don’t communicate the true spirit of your brand or bring your products to life in the way you’d imagined.
They don’t connect with your customers, evoke emotion or tell a story.
They don’t make you feel excited, or confident, or proud.
After all that time spent on getting the branding and marketing strategy right, you still aren’t getting the visibility you need in order to have a positive impact in the food industry.
What would you do if a press opportunity came up? What would you use to show off your brand at a trade event? What would you present to investors and buyers to convince them that your product is the one to back?
If only you could trust in your photos to help you, not hinder you.
If only you could get people to stop and listen.
If only you could get people to actually try your product, then you know they’d be coming back for more.
What if you could finally get people to listen with photos that you absolutely love?
Because the truth is, your imagery is the most powerful tool you’ve got.
You could actually get your audience to listen and move them to take action, by building a sense of trust and loyalty in your brand?
You could start pitching for more PR, win a significant investment deal or secure a spot on your dream supermarket shelf?
You could forget about having to create content yourself, knowing you’ve got plenty of options that you love and can use across all of your digital channels?
You could trust your imagery to bring in the sales for you?
You could fall in love with your food again, knowing the photos perfectly encapsulate your core brand values and proudly communicate the spirit of your brand?
You could have the freedom to choose from a whole folder of beautiful imagery that you love, knowing you’ve got the perfect shot for every opportunity?
You could stop worrying about your images letting you down and instead feel excited about sharing them with buyers and customers (especially because you know they’re your most powerful conversion tool)?
What if…
the call.
We’ll kick off with a call to finalise the brief and establish a clear visual style for the shoot. We’ll discuss your core brand values and create an image strategy that will tap into your customers emotions and move them to buy your product.
the prep.
You don’t need to worry about searching for props or preparing a whole load of food. I’ll source everything for you to make sure the shoot runs smoothly and is perfectly styled to the brief.
You sort the products, I’ll do the rest.
the shoot.
Then I get to work on the shoot, creating some really mouthwatering imagery across a range of engaging styles and set ups, all done remotely from my home studio. We can communicate throughout so you can see some example set ups, or you can leave me to photograph away, whatever works best for you.
the assets.
After the shoot, I’ll start on the post-production, editing the images and retouching where necessary. Everything captured from the shoot will be optimised across different formats (9:16 for reels, landscape for featured website images etc.) so you have the perfect resolution for every platform.
the usage.
You’ll also be granted an exclusive, global, unlimited, digital media, 5 year license to use for everything captured during the shoot. This means you have the freedom to use the images across your website and social media channels with ease.
Should you want to use your images in print too, just let me know.
If the terms ‘usage’ or ‘license’ are new to you, just let me know and we can chat. I have plenty of resources I can provide to aid your understanding of what it is, why it’s important and ways to make sure you don’t overpay for your images!
the impact.

I’ve helped my clients bag cookbook deals, secure £100k investments and level up their visual presence by creating intentional imagery that does the work for them.
Photographed by me, Samantha Couzens: food photographer for the businesses that want to sell more products with their imagery.
It’s my mission to help you love your photos as much as you love your brand.
How do you know if this is a good fit for you?
You’re a small but established business with a product you’re really proud of. Now you want to start building brand awareness with engaging, consistent imagery that creates a connection with your audience.
You’re keen to find a stress free solution that ticks all the boxes in one go. You want lots of images to choose from so you can feel confident you’ve got the perfect shot for every opportunity and the freedom to use it across any of your digital channels.
You have a rough idea of what you like when it comes to photography, but you’re also open to creative guidance. Getting good quality imagery that acts as an extension of your brand values and identity is important to you, so you’re happy to follow suggestions to ensure you get what you need.
You’ve tried the budget option before and were disappointed with the results. Now you want access to imagery that really brings your products to life and that can be used strategically to bring in more sales.
“From looking through Samantha’s extensive library of incredible photography we had high expectations for the shoot. In reality she surpassed these, and we were delighted with the incredible results. She really listened to us and accommodated all our ideas as well as adding her magical touch, creating the most beautiful product photography for our brand. We will not hesitate to use Samantha again, and we would highly recommend her.”
Peter and Rachel Allen, Wine That’s Fruit

Always willing to go that extra mile to help her clients, she has been a true asset over the last few years”
Caroline Moore, Merchant Gourmet
“I had the pleasure of working with Samantha for a series of photos I needed for my brand. Samantha exceeded my expectations in her ability to bring my product to life through her photos, despite having never worked with matcha before.
She clearly followed my direction while also taking creative liberties to elevate the photos in a way I hadn’t imagined. She is timely and professional and I highly recommend her photography services.”
Nadia Rawjee, Casa Cura

“If you’re pitching to a buyer for the first time, the photography is everything [...] it’s never been so crucial”
“I’ve used your photographs in all my pitch documents and have got really good leads from it and have since secured funding”

FAQs.
Are there any extra costs involved that I need to budget for?
The creative fee, including pre and post production, and digital usage license is included in the £1600 total. You’ll need to budget for around £200 for prop hire and ingredient costs. Food stylist fees and studio hire are optional and I can help you decide whether or not this is something you need.
Do you offer any payment plans?
I take a 50% deposit to secure the booking and the remaining 50% is due once the shoot is complete (around 4 weeks later). If you’d like to discuss a longer term payment plan please get in touch here and we can discuss your options.
What’s the difference between this and ‘the all inclusive’ photoshoot?
The all-inclusive shoot has double the shoot time, extended usage license to include print, a dedicated food and prop stylist, and both the prop hire and ingredients costs all included in the fee. It’s a full service option designed for more established brands that want to approach their imagery in a more strategic way.
In comparison, the full day shoot is perfect for the smaller brands who are looking for a wealth of assets to use across their digital channels.
What does ‘usage’ or ‘image licensing’ mean?
The entire copyright and ownership of the images will always be retained by the photographer. An image license is then created to allow the client the rights to use the images for an agreed media format, territory and period of time. Very similar to the way music is licensed for use in TV. In the case of my work, digital use is always included in the creative fee and any additional uses, such as print, advertorial, editorial or OOH will incur an additional fee.
If image licensing is new to you please let me know and we can chat through any questions you might have.
How many photos will I get and where can I use them?
The number of photos you get is totally dependent on the brief and style of imagery I’ll be creating, however there is no image limit per shoot; everything I capture on the day will be supplied. You can use them across all digital channels - website, social media, online product listings etc. - but not in print. If you’d like to use any of the images from the shoot in print, just let me know and I can draft up a usage agreement for you.
What happens if I don’t like the photos?
Images cannot be rejected on basis of style, composition or preference, as long as they have been shot in accordance with the brief. If for whatever reason the brief has not been followed, you would be entitled to a reshoot and if necessary, a fee would be agreed by us both.
The written brief and planning call are both thorough styling discussions to ensure this doesn’t happen and this has never happened with a client before.
What do you do with all the food?
I aim to ensure no food waste goes to landfill on every one of my shoots. All of the food that can be eaten is shared between myself and my husband, neighbours and wider family. Larger meals and leftover products are donated to a local homelessness and rehousing centre where I volunteer every week. Anything that cannot be eaten is composted and used as food for the flowers!
How often do you suggest brands book a photoshoot?
I’d recommend you budget for either 1-2 all inclusive shoots a year, or 4 full day shoots a year (booked quarterly, or seasonally) to ensure a consistent feed of fresh, engaging and relevant imagery.
