How to bring your products to life with your imagery - with Ombar chocolate

London food and product photographer for vegan chocolate brand Ombar.

A full day shoot at the Ombar chocolate factory in Sawston, Cambridge, to capture some creative product imagery and GIFs, and a handful of action shots in the factory.

I worked with the team across a variety of set ups, capturing some festive product shots and a whole host of beautiful chocolate macro images, using a selection of my own props and backgrounds, plus a few hired pieces.

One of the best things about Ombar is that the packaging is just as beautiful as the chocolate inside (and equally as good for the planet!) It’s always so much easier to capture packaging that actually looks good, so experimenting with all the vibrant colours and playful designs was a real highlight of this shoot.

We started with some Christmas gifting images, capturing a few shots of their advent calendar and mini gift boxes with lots of fairy lights and Christmas props to give it a festive feel. We then moved on to the macro chocolate shots, which are actually incredibly detailed and intricate images to create.

Then we did a quick photography tour of the factory, capturing some images of the team and some GIFs showcasing the chocolate making process, before heading back up to the offices to finish up with the packaging shots.

It was a joy to work with such a friendly and welcoming team and an even greater joy getting to eat so much chocolate…!
